LMSW and President of The Josh Dunne Organization, Mission Ready! Melanie, a New Mexico native, works as a counselor in Las Cruces, NM. She works with children, youth, and adults specializing in depression, anxiety, trauma, attachment disorders, and post-partum depression/anxiety. Melanie has always been passionate about serving her community in a therapeutic and holistic manner. As the wife of Josh, Melanie has also been an advocate for veterans and their families. She has worked for veterans mental health in an in-patient psychiatric setting, working to stabilize PTSD symptoms and effects. After the tragic passing of her husband Josh, Melanie founded The Josh Dunne Organization, Mission Ready with long-time friend, Sandra Emanuel. Their mission is to continue Josh’s legacy of helping and supporting veteran’s and their family. Knowing first-hand the difficulties of daily functioning with PTSD, Melanie is an expert in treatment, care, and advocacy.

LCSW and Co-Founder of The Josh Dunne Organization, Mission Ready! Sandra Emanuel is a clinical social worker in New Mexico who has spent most of her career working for veterans and their family. Sandra, an Army wife, therapist, leader, advocate, and close family of the Dunne’s is an asset of many forms for The Josh Dunne Organization, Mission Ready! As a founder of the organization, Sandra serves as our Vice President. Sandra’s vision is to eliminate the stigma of PTSD and ensure that veteran’s access to services is achievable and nothing less than the best of care. Sandra’s caring personality comes as natural as the wind blows here in New Mexico! Her welcoming spirit draws you in and her connection to Josh was something out of this world. They worked together as soccer coaches of their son's soccer team and together envisioned the best care of veteran’s services and hoped to one day achieve their goals of state-of-the-art treatment care center’s for veterans. Sandra will continue to carry on Josh’s vision with The Josh Dunne Organization, Mission Ready!

Patricia Dunne,
Vice President of The Josh Dunne Organization, Mission Ready! Patricia Dunne, Josh’s mother, brings a world of experience to The Josh Dunne Organization, Mission Ready! Her experience as a teacher, grant writer, founder of several organizations, and future counselor will ensure our community of veteran’s will be well served. Patricia’s personality traits were passed on to Josh at birth; their lively personality, humorous manners, ability to light up a room, make you feel important and cared about is something that lives on with Patricia and reminds us so much of Josh. Patricia’s advocacy and passion for veterans and their family will build this organization’s missions from the ground up! Her vision for veterans’ services is keen and from research to writing and development we are honored to have her be an integral part of our Organization.

Santiago and Marissa Miranda,
Secretary and Advisor's of The Josh Dunne Organization, Mission Ready! Marissa and Santiago, criminal justice professionals, and sister-in-law and brother-in-law of Josh, contributes their experience of community outreach, training, and education to The Josh Dunne Organization, Mission Ready! Marissa and Josh worked together to develop a student veteran internship at Adult Probation and Parole through New Mexico State University’s Criminal Justice Academic Program. Together they brought in student veterans to APPO to enhance their education and professional development through field experience. Marissa continues to vision Josh’s legacy of supporting student veteran’s by assisting with The Josh Dunne Memorial Scholarship at New Mexico State University. She will be a key developer in programs for best practices of veterans’ crisis situations.
Santiago contributes expertise in first response and tactical training in the state of New Mexico. Understanding first hand the importance of gun safety, responsibility, security, and personal safety are key to developing programs for our organization's goals in first responder support.

Jonah is the lead developer and head of The Josh Dunne Memorial Scholarship Committee with New Mexico State University. His natural good nature and even tempered spirit allows us to surmount our own expectations of what we can accomplish! Jonah’s role with The Josh Dunne Organization, Mission Ready will extend beyond leading the scholarship committee as his skills and experience are an asset to program development and resource development within the organization.
